Every Car Needs A Home – Arizona Concours d’Elegance 2017

Set in the shadow of Frank Lloyd Wright’s historic Biltmore Resort, the Arizona Concours d’Elegance assembles the world’s most spectacular automobiles and experts in the field of racing, design and collecting. Following in the footsteps of the Concours, the RM Sotheby’s 2017 Arizona sale will present more than one hundred spectacular automobiles from the world’s most iconic marques.

RM Sotheby’s 2017 Arizona sale is set to continue the company’s strong track record in Phoenix. Hand-selected by RM’s international team of specialists, the catalogue is set to span the spectrum of the market, from pre-war classics through to important sports and racing cars and contemporary supercars.

Last year’s sale was highlighted by the 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540 K Special Roadster that sold for $9.9 million before a packed house. The auction’s impressive results represented a new benchmark for any automobile sold in Arizona auction week history, breaking the previous record set by RM in 2015. In total, 17 lots broke the million-dollar mark, with the event generating a total of $62.8 million with 85 percent of all lots sold.

Sotheby’s London | Bowie/Collector Part I: Modern and Contemporary Art, Evening Auction

On November 10th, Sotheby’s London will begin their Bowie/Collector series with Part I. Featuring the most important pieces from David Bowie’s Modern & Contemporary Art collection, these works will go under the hammer. At the center of the auction will be Bowie’s incredible collection of Modern & Post-War British Art, covering the entirety of the 20th century. With less than two months to go until the event, here are two pieces to be featured.
