Our Passion: Giving Back Through
Summit Sotheby’s International Realty Cares

When we talk about how Summit Sotheby’s International Realty and our sales associates differ from the competition, we typically talk about market share, significant sales, and global brand power. The truth is, our commitment to excellence in real estate is only matched by our commitment to our community. Last past month our agents and clients teed off to support local non-profit organizations at the awe-inspiring course at Victory Ranch. We are proud to share with you, our neighbors, our community, and our friends, that since its inception Summit Summit Sotheby’s Cares has raised $690,000 and counting for local charities and non-profits.

Please enjoy images and video from this year’s Summit Sotheby’s Cares Golf Tournament, held at Victory Ranch.

2018 Summit Sotheby’s Cares Presentation

Our passion for real estate is only matched by our passion for our community. At the close of every escrow, our sales associates and our firm voluntarily donate a portion of earnings to a 501(c)(3) that we call Summit Sotheby’s Cares. Through this program, the team at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty is able to participate in giving back to the Park City, Salt Lake, and Southern Utah communities in which we live. This past month, 43 non-profits were presented with donations at our annual Park City Summit Sotheby’s Cares presentation. With donations since 2010 at $630,000 and counting, this program is not about real estate, it is about gratitude and social responsibility.

Proud Sponsor of the 2018 Salt Lake Gallery Stroll

The Gallery Stroll is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization funded by sponsorships and grants and Summit Sotheby’s International Realty is proud to sponsor and promote the visual arts in Salt Lake City.

Founded by the Salt Lake Gallery Association in 1983, the Gallery Stroll began as a small consortium of fine art galleries. Today, as a separate non-profit organization, the Salt Lake Gallery Stroll encompasses the majority of galleries and visual-arts related businesses in Salt Lake City. The goal remains same…to promote the best art Salt Lake City has to offer. To that end galleries and other businesses that support visual artists stay open late, providing an opportunity for art enthusiasts to tour their exhibits after hours.

Join us on the 3rd Friday of each month at our 9th & 9th office to meet artists and browse the exciting and thriving arts market.

Equine Excellence | Living the Equestrian Lifestyle

Buying an equestrian property is unlike any other real estate purchase, and owning it is unlike any other way of life. There is an emotional component, sometimes even an aspirational one.

While love for the animal drives the lifestyle, it takes more than passion. Maintaining a horse farm, even a small property for hobbyists, requires specific knowledge.

The characteristics that make for a particularly good location are based on personal preferences but typically involve an area having a range of horse properties to choose among, an extensive trail system, comfortable riding weather and a vibrant horse culture.

Spend the Summer with Summit SIR Recap

When we talk about how Summit Sotheby’s International Realty and our sales associates differ  from the competition, we typically talk about market share, significant sales, and global brand power. The truth is, one of the biggest differences is our connection to our community, our clients, and our friends.

We had a fantastic time at our annual 4th of July party, hosted at our historic 625 Main Street office in Park City. Clients, friends, and family, all decked out in their patriotic attire, packed our offices and enjoyed breakfast and refreshments as the parade made its way down Main Street.

We also came together to enjoy a night out, under the stars, at the Deer Valley Music Festival.  Our sales associates invited their clients, family, and friends, for a special VIP experience that only the team at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty could pull off. Guests were greeted by huge smiles, a catered dinner, Summit Sotheby’s International Realty swag,  wine and spirits, and of course, music of The Beach Boys with the Utah Symphony Orchestra.

With summer in full swing, we look forward to seeing you at our next Summit Sotheby’s International Realty event.

Sundance Ridge – Build on one of the most spectacular view lots in the Wasatch Range and look out on stunning vistas that include Snowbasin Ski Resort, Powder Mountain, Ogden Valley, and Pineview Reservoir. Located at the highest point on Old Snowbasin Road in Huntsville, water and power are stubbed to this development of only four world-class lots.

The Ridge at Spanish Fork is a luxurious townhome community located on the east end of Spanish Fork with panoramic views of Mt. Timpanogos, Maple Mountain and Spanish Fork Peak.  The Ridge redefines the way you live with all the amenities of a luxury resort and a maintenance free lifestyle—including an incredible clubhouse with a fitness center and an indoor/outdoor pool.

Horseshoe Mountain Ranch Estates is located just outside of Spring City and called by Forbes Magazine one of “America’s prettiest towns.” The ranch estates offer a gated entry to the community and common spaces for all residents to enjoy, such as a trout lake, 40 acres of irrigated greenbelt, a sandy beach and various pavilions. There are only 10 lots still available at the Horseshoe Mountain Ranch Estates, with land parcels ranging from 5-40 acres of land.

Encanto is Southern Utah’s premier luxury vacation home community. Owning a home at Encanto allows you to experience the freedom of vacationing in your own home with the ability to also rent your unit nightly and weekly.  Encanto is located on Snow Canyon Parkway just minutes from Tuacahn and Snow Canyon and offers some of the area’s best hiking and biking trails.

Summit Sotheby’s International Realty Update for July 2017

Salt Lake, Park City and St. George covers for Summer 2017 Edition of Collections

Announcing the Summer 2017 Edition of Collections Magazine

Summit Sotheby’s International Realty is excited to announce the release of the 17th edition of Collections Magazine. For this summer edition, Summit Sotheby’s International Realty’s in-house marketing team produced hand painted floral accents, a fairytale fashion editorial, and three unique regional covers to seamlessly combine Utah real estate, fashion, and art.

Collections Magazine epitomizes the passion, professionalism, and integrity of Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, its sales associates, marketing department, transaction management team, and office staff. Each of the 132 pages have been painstakingly designed with innovation and unprecedented exposure in mind. Continuing the theme of offering clients a level of unprecedented exposure, Summit Sotheby’s International Realty has partnered with Salt Lake Magazine, Utah Style and Design Magazine, Zion’s Bank Community Magazine, The St. George Spectrum, and The Salt Lake Tribune to deliver Collections Magazine directly to subscribers. These strategic partnerships are in addition to the over 265 distribution locations where Collections Magazine is on display and available for pickup.

Collections Magazine is a pictorial illustration of what we do at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty. To have a magazine that encapsulates our creativity, our passion, and the amazing properties we represent is really exciting,” said Thomas Wright, President and Principal Broker of Summit Sotheby’s International Realty. “With Collections Magazine you know that everyone in the state of Utah, is going to see the publication, and more importantly, experience how committed we are to quality and the homes that we represent.”

Collections Magazine has seen extensive growth and transformation since its inception in 2009. This growth is due in-part to the brokerage’s definition of luxury: luxury represents high quality service, knowledge, and experience that every client receives regardless of area or price point. This definition is certainly reflected throughout the pages of Collections Magazine, proudly displaying the brokerage’s active listings from all across the state and at all price points. “Our sales associates provide their clients such a high level of service. Because of their efforts the Summit Sotheby’s International Realty brand continues to expand throughout the state,” said Joe Averett, Vice President of Communications. “I’ve seen the magazine grow from 20,000 copies to over 115,000 copies and our page count increase from 24 pages to 132 pages. We couldn’t be more thrilled to present the 17th edition to our sales associates, our clients, and our community.”

Distribution of Collections Magazine began this week, hitting pickup locations and mailboxes state-wide. A digital version can be found on the Summit Sotheby’s International Realty website: summitsothebysrealty.com. For more information on how to have your property featured within the pages of Collections Magazine, contact your local Summit Sotheby’s International Realty sales associate.

The Emerging Luxury Consumer

2017_05_globalaffluence_blogheaderTo sell luxury real estate, you must understand the affluent buyers‘ needs and wants and be able to deliver to your clients.

In the era of the empowered luxury residential real estate consumer‰ – one who has access to information 24/7‰ – it is more critical than ever to engage in ongoing conversations. Understanding what is important to the luxury consumer, how they want to be serviced, and how luxury brands fit into their lives can not only help real estate brokerages make more strategic decisions, it can help foster a better connection between buyers and brand (with the intent that a strengthening relationship will move some moderate buyers into the top echelon of luxury consumers). It is simply not enough to solely market to them. They now expect a two-way conversation and continued nurtured relationship with the brands they buy from.

Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC is proud to present “Global Affluence: The Emerging Luxury Consumer,” a report examining the confidence, spending habits and purchasing interests of emerging luxury consumers from around the world, defined as those with $250,000 USD to $1 million USD in investable assets. The report found that this emerging luxury consumer demographic is confident when it comes to their personal economy and the economy of their respective countries.

2017_05_globalaffluence_social“The luxury residential real estate market is ever evolving,” said Philip White, president and chief executive officer of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC.  “As a global leader in this arena, the Sotheby’s International Realty® brand commissioned this research survey to unveil emerging trends with luxury residential real estate consumers around the world.  We are always looking to the future and our focus is to keep a pulse on the state of the real estate market and the homebuyers of tomorrow.”

  • 93% of emerging luxury consumers are looking to purchase homes with luxury components.
  • Emerging luxury consumers are interested in waterfront, metropolitan and historic homes.

“The luxury market has been redefined in recent years due in large part to the impact of the new emerging luxury consumer,” said Kevin Thompson, chief marketing officer of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC.  “These individuals have a luxury sensibility and an affinity for exclusive brands, proving that luxury transcends income levels – it is about quality, uniqueness, and ultimately achieving a certain lifestyle.  The Sotheby’s International Realty brand has its eye on the future and is perfectly positioned to unite these extraordinary lives with extraordinary lifestyles.”
