This edition of our Collections Magazine addresses that notion head-on. As you flip through
these pages, you’ll find a visual representation of how Summit Sotheby’s International Realty
is truly different. These differentiating qualities – items we call our “Passion Points”– are on
display in each and every page.

A highlight of not only our Passion Points, but of this publication, is our team. Designing, developing, and distributing a magazine of this magnitude is no easy feat. Every sales associate and member of our in-house staff, in departments ranging from marketing, photography,
transaction management, legal and operations, contributed in bringing this edition to life. This same team works together, as a single unit, day-in and day-out to provide a luxury real
estate experience to each of our clients, regardless of price point or location of their property.

This definition of luxury as an experience, not a price point, has inspired Summit Sotheby’s
International Realty to redefine the real estate industry – pushing us to constantly innovate and
differentiate. We’re all about raising the bar, dictating the curve and doing things in a way that
may be imitated by others, but never duplicated. We’re humbled by the growing number of

“Ellevated Entertaining” is a series of articles by the renowned Elle Decor production team and composed with beautiful images shot at Sotheby’s International Realty brand homes. Designed to inspire the consumer, the program will marry entertaining with exquisite Sotheby’s Realty homes for sale.

When we talk about how Summit Sotheby’s International Realty and our sales associates differ from the competition, we typically talk about market share, significant sales, and global brand power. We had a fantastic time at our annual 4th of July party, hosted at our historic 625 Main Street office in Park City. Clients, friends, and family, all decked out in their patriotic attire, packed our offices and enjoyed breakfast and refreshments as the parade made its way down Main Street.

We also came together to enjoy a night out, under the stars, at the Deer Valley Music Festival. Our sales associates invited their clients, family, and friends, for a special VIP experience that only the team at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty could pull off. Guests were greeted by huge smiles, a catered dinner, Summit Sotheby’s International Realty swag, wine and spirits, and of course, music of The Beach Boys with the Utah Symphony Orchestra.

Governor Gary R. Herbert and local officials recently joined the Eccles Family, development partners, and Summit SIR sales team to celebrate the ground breaking of the Goldener Hirsch Residences – the newest luxury real estate project in the Silver Lake Village at Deer Valley. Recently the Park City Board of Realtors held their Annual Awards Party at the Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley. Patti Wells was awarded the REALTOR® of the Year Award. This special award is given to an active REALTOR® member of the Park City Board of REALTORS® who best exemplifies and promotes a positive REALTOR® image through the highest levels of service within the real estate community and the local community at-large. Longevity of Board membership, consistency of service, continuous participation, and activities within the Board and in business as well as significant contributions to the real estate community will be considered when determining the recipient.

Tami Whisker received the Meritorius Service Award and Dave Johnson, Managing Broker for Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, received the Directors Award.

2017 Summit Sotheby’s International Realty Cares

Summit Sotheby’s International Realty and its sales associates recently donated $70,000 to local Summit, Wasatch & Salt Lake County non-profits via its philanthropic 501(c)3 group called “Summit Sotheby’s International Realty Cares”.

During the month of March, Summit Sotheby’s International Realty offices around the state held their annual SSIR Cares Presentations. Each year, agents work together to make personal donations and raise money to help benefit both local and national non-profit organizations. The presentations were an emotional display of the passion our sales associates have for their communities. In total, 35 non-profits were presented checks resulting in over $70,000 of donations.

“Thanks to all of our sales associates and vendors, we are thrilled to be able to benefit these 35 local non-profit organizations,” Summit Sotheby’s International Realty President and Principal Broker Thomas Wright said.

“I am very happy that our organization can do so much good by spreading our donations across such a cross-section of local non-profits. Giving to these non-profits, and the others that we have contributed to over the years, makes it all worthwhile at the end of the day,” said Wright. “These contributions demonstrate how seriously Summit Sotheby’s International Realty regards its efforts to make a difference in the local community.”

At the close of every escrow, our sales associates and real estate brokerage firm voluntarily donate a portion of their earnings to local 501(c)3 non-profits. Planned Parenthood, Volunteers of America, Curesearch Children’s Cancer, Ride to Cure Diabetes, Huntsman Cancer Institute, MS Ride – Fee Fee’s Flyers Team, Children’s Center, Christmas Box, Choice Humanitarian, Make A Wish Foundation, and Handful of hope attended our presentation in Salt Lake City to receive their checks.

Our New Story Partnership

The Sotheby’s International Realty® brand is proud to announce that it has partnered with New Story, a non-profit organization that puts 100% of donations toward transforming dangerous living environments into communities of safe, sustainable homes, for $6,000 a home.

Why did we choose New Story as a partner?

100% of donations go directly to the field. They operate with completely separate overhead cost so every dollar donated goes straight to building homes.
Donors have the ability to see the exact family they’re sponsoring, along with the supplies and costs their donation is covering. In the beginning, the donor receives a photo of the family and their story. When the home is completed, they are delivered a move-in video to share in the excitement of this incredible effort.
They hire local labor and buy domestic materials to boost the country’s economy. New Story does more than build houses – they provide jobs and economic stability for the communities they service.

SIR Achieves $95 Billion in Global Sales Volume for 2016!

Sotheby’s International Realty® brand reported that in 2016 its affiliated brokers and sales professionals achieved approximately $95 billion in global sales volume, the highest annual sales volume performance in the history of the brand, driven largely by a brand record of over 127,000 transactions.

In addition, Summit Sotheby’s International Realty announced that it achieved $1.52 billion in sales volume in Utah for 2016.

2017 KPCW Winter Pledge Drive

KPCW Radio is a non-profit, volunteer supported organization whose mission is to educate, inform, entertain and provide access to a diverse community with quality local, national and international programming.
