Bloomington Hills is a neighborhood within St. George Utah. It is located to the east (and slightly north) of Bloomington. In the early 80's, Bloomington was considered "the place to be" by residents. Bloomington Hills was considered more of an affordable second choice option. Now, Bloomington Hills is a beautiful, equally desirable neighborhood.

It’s a spectacular site, and a clear advantage to living here. Diamond Valley offers larger parcels of land, which is a bit difficult to find in the heart of St. George. One or more acres is typical for parcels in Diamond Valley. Horses are allowed in this subdivision and many off road enthusiasts also call it "paradise".

Washington is the third largest city in Washington County and is located north of St George. The city was established in 1857 by Mormon pioneers whose mission was to raise cotton along Mill Creek. The historic, Cotton Mill, still stands and is currently the home of Star Nursery. The city was named in honor of President George Washington.

St. George Climate

Because of the city's low elevation and southerly location, St. George is the hottest part of Utah and has a Subtropical arid climate, with maximum daily July temperatures averaging about 102 °F. The hottest temperature ever recorded in Utah, 118 °F, was recorded as being in a place south of St. George, near the Arizona border, on July 4, 2007. The high-temperature record in Utah before that was 117 °F, recorded in St. George itself on July 5, 1985.  In winter, temperatures frequently drop below freezing overnight , but temperatures warm into the 50s°F during the day.

Bloomington is one of the oldest, more established neighborhoods, offering historical attributes. The area was formerly known as the Town of Atkinville, however in the 1960's, due to the town's inability to incorporate itself, it became part of St George.  The neighborhood is built in a circular pattern, which surrounds the beautiful Bloomington Country Club Golf Course.
