Real Estate Professional
Draper, Utah United States
Derek Conn’s hardworking and methodical approach to work and life is a perfect fit for the esteemed group of real estate agents at Summit Sotheby’s International Realty. He serves a clientele of buyers and sellers who appreciate his professional integrity combined with his warm hospitality attributed to a small-town upbringing. From the mixed urban neighborhoods of Salt Lake City to the surrounding suburbs of the Wasatch Front and western cities like Tooele where Derek resides, he brings sound market knowledge and abilities to address his clients’ unique property needs.
Prior to real estate, Derek enjoyed long and successful careers in residential and commercial development and construction, oil and natural gas exploration, and emergency logistics and supply chain development. Through his work within these industries, Derek became highly adept at managing substantial projects that often stretched across the globe and required a great deal of perseverance and resourcefulness in order to see them through to completion. With his process-driven style, and a healthy amount of flexibility and adaptability, Derek works to find solutions for his real estate clients, taking on their concerns and objectives as his own. Whether it’s a couple newly moved to Utah looking for a place to raise a family, or a retired couple seeking an active lifestyle with less property to manage, he works relentlessly to help people achieve their goals without any undue stress.
Originally from Colorado’s high mountain country, Derek moved to Utah’s equally majestic landscape and has not looked back. He has four children, three of which who have grown into amazing adults; one, a US Marine, and two who gracefully balance parenting and professional careers. His youngest is still enjoying the freedom of his teenage years, racing his BMX bike and founding his school’s eSports program. Growing up in a musical family, Derek loves spending time playing a variety of instruments. He currently plays drums in a blues rock band that has released three albums in the last nine years they’ve been together, and they’re currently working on a fourth.
